分析纯化水管道的翻译
在翻译车间纯化水管道工艺流程图时发现管道一词有太多选择：
pipe，tube，pipeline，piping，tubing
咨询了老外，得到下面的回答：
1)pipe-atubularconduitforfluidsorgases输送液体或气体的管状管道
2)pipeline-asystemofpipesforconveyingliquidsorgases输送液体或气体的管道系统
3)piping-thehollowtubesfromwhichyouconstructpipelinesorplumbing用来建造管道或管道的空心管
4)tube&tubing-whenyouarespeakingabouthollowconduits,thenpipeistotubeaspipingistotubing.themaindifferencebeingmostpeoplewillassumetubingisflexibleandpipingisrigid当表达空心导管时，pipe等同于tube，piping等同于tubing，主要的区别在于大多数人倾向于认为tubing是软管，而piping是硬管
由此可以排除pipe和tube，而在pipeline和piping中选，不过这里又出现一个问题，如果tube和tubing是软管的话，那岂不是跟hose是一样的?
最后根据FDA的一篇GuidetoInspectionsofHighPurityWaterSystems高纯水系统检查指南中的对纯化水管道的翻译，将纯化水管道定稿为purifiedwaterpiping.
大家有什么看法。

piping在工业管道中用的多，很少用到tube这个词。

下面是老外对hose和tube在表示软管时的区分。大意就是hose表示外接的软管，一头固定在水龙头等地方，在使用时一般用于固定搭配，如花园浇水用的软管，空压机管子等。
